Creating Digital Maps with ArcGIS

In this workshop, participants will be introduced to ArcGIS, a geographic information system that allows users to create and display visualizations using spatial or geographical data. Participants will gain an understanding of the various ways ArcGIS can be applied, and they will have an opportunity to try out the software. This event is free and open to all SDSU affiliates.  10/13/15 @ 11am-12pm in LL 260.

Art Under the Dome pop-up performance

Join us at 11:30 on Friday October 9 in the Dome for a pop-up dance performance!  Sponsored by Arts Alive SDSU.

Research Poster Design

In this workshop, we'll be focusing on layout, design, content and color for academic posters. We will explore tools that help to ensure use of color combinations that are visible to those with color blindness or low-vision. Microsoft Publisher will be the software, and it is installed on all PC computers in the library. This event is free and open to all SDSU affiliates. 10/8/15 @ 11am-12pm in LL 260.

"Digital Humanities and Global Diversity" Area of Excellence Launch Event

Please join us for a launch event in celebration of the new Area of Excellence "Digital Humanities and Global Diversity" on Tuesday, October 6, from 3-4pm in Love Library, room 430. Light refreshments will be served.

We will introduce the research area and its core faculty, discuss hiring plans and ambitions, and invite participation from across campus. Join us! All are welcome.

Social Media Professionalism

In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the professional aspects of social media. This will include how to maintain a professional social media presence and how to leverage social media to support professional goals.
